JAMMU, Dec 28: As part of the ongoing Sangathan Parv, Arvind Gupta, MLA from Jammu West, today chaired a significant meeting at the Akhnoor Assembly segment to hold organizational elections at Mandal level.
The meeting was attended by prominent leaders and party members, including Rajeev Sharma (district president), Mohan Lal Bhagat (MLA Akhnoor), Dr. KrishanLal (ex-MLA), Veenu Khanna (Returning Officer), Brijeshwar Rana (Jila Parbhari), Daljeet Singh (ex-Vice Chairman Kissan Board), Dr. Suresh Ajay Mangotra, Suraj Singh (Vice Chairman DDC Jammu), Manmohan Singh (Jila Seh-Parbhari), Bhushan Bral (DDC Bhalwal Brahmana), Sharda Bhau (DDC Akhnoor), Suresh Sharma (DDC Mera Mandrian), G.S. Chib (convener Chhamb), and Capt. (retd) Sobha Ram (convener Akhnoor).
Addressing the meeting, Arvind Gupta highlighted the milestones achieved under SangathanParv. He informed that the initiative began with a comprehensive membership drive, during which numerous active members were enrolled into the party. This was followed by the election of new booth presidents, paving the way for the current Mandal president elections.
“Today’s meeting was convened at Akhnoor to discuss and finalize deserving candidates for the post of Mandal presidents. The shortlisted names will be announced following the elections of Mandal president on January 1, 2025. Subsequently, elections for district presidents will also be conducted,” he stated.
Reiterating BJP’s core philosophy, Arvind remarked, “BJP is a party of the people, by the people, and for the people. “Our organizational structure ensures inclusive and democratic representation at every level.” He further emphasized that such efforts strengthen the party’s foundation and its connection with the grassroots.
The meeting concluded with a strong resolve to uphold the democratic spirit and ensure that the Sangathan Parv continues to invigorate the party’s organizational framework.
