BILLAWAR, Aug 6: Senior Congress leader and former MLA Billawar Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today alleged that BJP was trying to suppress the voice of the people.
Addressing public meetings at Kishanpur, Durang, Dewal, Surara (Malti), Didwara, Ramkote and Tandary in Billawar the Congress leader alleged that BJP and Modi’s Government was suppressing the genuine voice of the people of the country by attracting on opposition leaders. He termed this act is as threat to Indian democracy and democratic values.
Dr Sharma said that this trend is not healthy in contest of Indian democracy in which the party at power will unnecessary torture and attack leader of other party in order to humiliate him . He said that Modi Govt has failed in every front including in deliverance and governance, so BJP is attacking opposition leaders which is his preplanning to divert the attention of common masses from real issue and their failure.
The former MLA said that the attack on AICC leader Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat by suspected BJP activists is highly condemnable, shameful and undemocratic act in which BJP and its leadership is completely responsible. He said that such act reflects the thinking and vision of the party and their leadership.
Launching a scathing attack on BJP-PDP coalition for prevailing mess and uncertainty in State, he regretted that during the last three years, the present regime has spoiled the peaceful atmosphere which was achieved the previous Government. He further said what is happening after the formation of PDP-BJP coalition is known to every one. They have brazenly eroded sanctity and credibility of democratic institutions through their deceit tactics, Sharma added.
He further said that there is no medicine, doctors and other surgical items in government hospitals and dispensaries in state particularly in rural, far-flung and remote area. He said that people living in rural and far-flung areas are baldy suffering.
