JAMMU, Oct 9: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar promised more steps to eradicate corruption and alleviate the common man’s problems as he sought the help of local residents particularly the youngsters to develop Jammu.
Addressing gathering at Ward 64, Sukhnandan said, corruption in system will deteriorate the entire system and neither the infrastructure will be developed nor it’s quality can be maintained. While starting the lanes and drains works in the area, the senior BJP leader in presence of local JMC Corporator, Kapil Chib, said that the locals must suggest initiatives for development as Modi Government is “keen to explore new avenues and ways for the betterment of facilities for people.”
Referring to the JMC, Sukhnandan said that in the past development works were allotted to the contractors based on recommendations, but now we have transformed the process. Only merits and competence are being valued, he added.
Stressing that he himself wants to work together with all citizens towards a developed Jammu, Sukhnandan Kumar said, “I am always ready to address the issues of the public. LG Manoj Sinha and PM Narendra Modi have decided to develop new J&K.” They are working day and night to bring change here so that all the residents in J&K also live in areas having all basic facilities.
In his address corporator, Kapil Chib highlighted the various public welfare schemes of Modi Government. He said game changing development projects are under construction in entire J&K. He said Modi Government is totally concerned for the welfare of common man and the PM has dedicated his Government for the welfare of poor and downtrodden.
Others who were present at the spot include Deepak Pandey, Sudesh Kumar Anil Dhar, Vikram Mahajan, Kuldeep Raina, Abhijeet Sangotra, Raju Singh, Deep Sharma, Sanju Bhagat and Rajiv Sharma.
