BJP team tours flood hit areas of Samba

JAMMU, Sept 28: In continuation to Party’s programme to visit every flood affected family, Member of Parliament & BJP State president, Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with State vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, senior leaders- Farooq Khan, Sunil Sethi (Adv.), Brigadier (retd) Anil Gupta, MLA Sham Choudhary, District, President Kashmir Singh and other leaders undertook extensive touring of Balole, Khara Madana, Uttar Behni, Kamor, Keso Manasa, Nud, Papad, Bain Glad, Kapai and Samba town falling in Samba district to personally meet the people, take stock of their problems and the losses caused to them by the recent floods.
Taking stock of the problems of flood victims, Jugal Kishore Sharma observed that people have suffered a lot and are in need of immediate help.
He said that Union Government led by Narendra Modi has very liberally extended all assistance to the State Government, which most unfortunately is not reaching the affected families. He assured the flood hit people that BJP will not rest till they are fully rehabilitated. Chander Prakash Ganga said that many areas of Samba district have suffered on account of the recent rains and floods and “we all need to adopt a humane approach towards them”.
Farooq Khan said that while the Union Government is providing every sort of assistance for the flood affected people of this border State, the State Government should discharge its duty of distributing and utilizing this assistance in an impartial manner.
Sunil Sethi said that whatever has happened is very unfortunate “but we can not sit as mute spectators but need to come forward to extend helping hand to the people in their hour of grief and sorrow”.
Sham Choudhary said that the farming community too has been hit badly as their only source of livelihood of agriculture has been washed away and they need to be compensated adequately.
