JAMMU, July 25: Congress leader, Rajinder Singh Chib (Popy), former Naib Sarpanch, Balwan Singh and other party activists from Kunjwani area joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Ward 55 Kunjwani near here, today.
These leaders were inducted into the BJP in the presence of Jammu and Kashmir BJP president, Ravinder Raina, general secretary, Dr. Davinder Manyal, Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, BJP district South president, Rekha Mahajan and other senior leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Jammu and Kashmir BJP president, Ravinder Raina said that these leaders have done good work for the Congress in their respective areas but being disillusioned with their party they expressed their desire to support the BJP.
He said that they have come to our family after being influenced by the public welfare and pro poor schemes of the Modi Government. This will go a long way in taking the BJP’s development journey to its destination in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the BJP’s victory chariot will move fast and the party will win all the Lok Sabha seats in J&K.
He said that every worker of the party works keeping in mind the principle of nation first and the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself has set the highest standard of selflessly serving the society and the nation. He said that the opposition should form an alliance and the people of the country will reject them.
On the occasion, BJP general secretary, Dr. Davinder Manyal warmly welcomed Congress leaders in the BJP family. Dr. Davinder Manyal said that the party will benefit from the entry of Congress leaders into the Bharatiya Janata Party. “I have full faith that all of you will definitely play an important role in taking the wonderful and inspiring thoughts of (BJP), the world’s largest party working continuously in the interest of the nation”. He said that due to its selfless policies, the BJP is increasing its mass base across the country day by day.
Enthused by large number of leaders of opposition parties joining BJP, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the entry of senior Congress leader Rajendra Chib (Popy) and former Naib Sarpanch Balwan Singh from Kunjwani area into the Party will boost the morale of the party cadre and help us take the policies of the Government to the grassroots level.
