JAMMU, June 19: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Government led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi would fulfill aspirations of the people in terms of development which is the core agenda of the party. This was stated by Ch. Vikram Randhawa former Member Legislative Council (MLC), while kick starting contruction of a drain at Ward No-58, Dashmesh Nagar in Gandhi Nagar Assembly Segment.
While speaking on the occasion he said that it was an old pending demand of the local residents as they were facing many hardships in absence of drain and the matter was brought into the notice of the former MLC who took it up with the PWD and after sincere follow up the work has been started today.
Randhawa directed the executing agency to ensure quality work and timely completion as the rainy season is all to set the knock at the doors of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that people in Jammu and Kashmir and particularly in Gandhi Nagar would be delivered development at doorsteps. He sought the cooperation of the public in making Gandhi Nagar a Model Constituency with international infrastructure. He assured the people that all other pending demands of the area would be fulfilled soon.
He further urged the people to maintain the public properties well for their longevity as this infrastructure is being developed with the taxpayers’ money.
Others who were present on the occasion include Corporator Ward No-58, Teerath Kour, Ex-Corporator S.Paramjit Singh, S.Ramneek Singh, S.Gurjit Singh, Col (retd) RS Jamwal, Avinash Gupta, Anil Kumar and Ramesh Chander.
