BJP to investigate 10 scams in four months

JAMMU, Mar 28: Jammu and Kashmir BJP will investigate into atleast 10 scams in the next four months and come out with details. A decision in this regard was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of BJP National secretary & Former MP Kirit Somaiya.
The meeting was convened by Dr Jitendra Singh, BJP National Executive Member & Chief Spokesperson of the Party, who is also State convenor, of its Scam Committee. The meeting was attended by committee members including Chander Prakash Ganga, Chander Mohan Sharma, Satish Sharma, Sat Sharma (C.A.), Balbir Ram and Rajinder Sharma.
Kirit Somaiya, held threadbare discussions with the committee members. He was briefed about progress made so far in some scams, which have been deeply investigated besides apprising him about a dozen other scams which have shook the faith of people in NC-Congress coalition. He reviewed the progress made so far by scam committee into various scams under scanner.
Mr Somaiya said that the BJP at national level has launched a drive to unearth the scams in other states as a result of which NRHM scam in Utter Pradesh and Mining scam in Goa have led to the fall of respective state governments there. The national leadership has now identified Jammu and Kashmir also as a state with very high number of scams and scandals having its rating as second most corrupt state in the country.
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that in the coming months a detailed booklet containing evidences of 10 major scams in Jammu and Kashmir is planned to be released for the public so that the record of ministers, bureaucrats and other corrupt elements is available for public scrutiny.
The major scams which have been identified include NRHM Scam, JKCA Scam, Tawi Islands Scam, Forest Land scam, Dal Lake scam, IWDP Scam, MNREGA Scam, PWD Scam and Village Community Land scam.
