BJP to launch Labharthi Samparak Abhiyan from Mar 3

JAMMU, Feb 21: Quick on the heels of various novel public outreach programmes launched by the party and Government during last over one year, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is launching yet another public outreach programme all over the country under the name Labharthi Samparak Abhiyan (LSA) to reach out to the beneficiaries of various schemes launched by Narendra Modi Government in last 10 years for the welfare of the people all over UT. In J&K, this programme will be launched on March 3, 4 and 5.
Under this new programme, party leaders from J&K will visit the allotted booths in the UT and interact with the people who have taken the benefits of Modi Government schemes during the last 10 years. They will seek feedback from the beneficiaries and also handover a pamphlet form to them highlighting all the public welfare schemes of the Government. Besides, the pamphlet a sticker will also be given to the beneficiaries with a slogan “I support BJP, Phir Ek Bar Modi Sarkar, ” party sources told Excelsior here today.
Sources said eyeing the coming Lok Sabha elections to be held in April -May this year, BJP has decided that the party cadre should remain in total touch with masses to ensure that it (the party) crosses 370 seats mark in the coming Lok Sabha elections this time –a target set by none other than Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself.
Sources said that there are about 15 lakh beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes launched by Modi Government in J&K and they may constitute over 50 lakh voters. BJP is hopeful that by contacting all of the beneficiaries, taking feedback from them will ensure the good results at hustings in favour of party, sources added.
Sources said that party will also launch workshops in this regard prior to visiting booths all over the UT and party activists will be given full training about this novel programme. During the programme, every beneficiary will be given the pamphlet and sticker highlighting the Central schemes for public welfare, sources added.
They said that the party is collecting the booth wise data of beneficiaries all over the UT. The party held a meeting here in BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar on Tuesday in which all senior leaders participated to chalk out the programme. The party leadership is confident that they will get the positive results in the elections on the basis of good work done for the public welfare all over the country for all sections of the people irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and region, sources added.
The Tuesday’s meeting was chaired by Sham Lal Sharma, former Minister and Chairman of Labharthi Samparak Abhiyan (LSA) while it was attended by BJP J&K, president, Ravinder Raina, party co in charge J&K, Ashish Sood, party general secretary (org), Ashok Koul, party general secretaries, Dr D K Manyal, Sunil Sharma and Vibodh Gupta.
Ashish Sood said data of beneficiaries being collected so that every beneficiary is contacted at booth level who have taken the benefits of various schemes including construction of residential houses under PM Awaas Yojna, gas connections under Ujwala Yojna, water connections under Har Gar Jal aur Har Ghar Nal, Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Ladli Bet etc.
Sood said BJP is going to people with a positive view point on the basis of its achievements and public welfare schemes the Government launched for them. “We are confident that our work will fetch popular mandate in the elections”, he added.
Sood said “BJP does not believe in misleading people on the caste based census but we go to people on the basis of our good work and performance of last 10 years of Modi Government which is like an open book and we believe that people are the best judge of our performance”.
During the three days, all the beneficiaries in the UT will be covered by the BJP team deputed all over J&K, said Dr D K Manyal, party general secretary. The BJP team visiting respective booths will be given the list of beneficiaries for contacting them, he added.
In charge of the programme Sham Lal Sharma said that there are 15 lakh beneficiaries in the UT of J&K as unlike other states entire population of the UT was eligible to avail the benefit of Ayushman Bharat Scheme in J&K while in other parts of the country the people living Below Poverty Line (BPL) were given the benefit of the scheme, he added.
He said moreover besides, Central schemes there are schemes of UT Government also for the welfare of common masses and this way the number of total beneficiaries in the UT can be about 15 lakh, he added.
He said the Labharthi Samparak Abhiyan is the another novel campaign launched by the party to have a contact with masses after Viksit Bharat Samparak Yatra, Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, Booth Sushaktikaran Abhiyan, Vishwakarma Yojna etc which have already been launched by it.
