BJP trying to hoodwink Jammuites once again through treachery: Harsh

JAMMU, June 23: Accusing the BJP of trying to hoodwink the people of Jammu region once again through its deception and treachery, Harsh Dev Singh, JKNPP chairman and former Minister said that people would no longer fall a prey to such politics of subterfuge.
The people of Dogra land had seen the real face of BJP behind their deceptive facades and were eagerly awaiting the ensuing elections so that they could avenge their betrayal, said Singh. He was speaking in a public meeting in Burn village of Domana constituency today.
Referring to the statement of BJP Chief Amit Shah that the party had withdrawn support to PDP due to neglect of Jammu and discrimination against its people, Singh said that such utterances of BJP leaders had only invoked cynicism rather than appreciation. Are you not responsible for such discrimination and bias doled out to Jammu in view of BJP being an equal partner in the Government in J&K and heading the Government at the Centre, said Harsh.
Having lost the confidence of the electorates, besides its object failure on the governance front, the BJP had chosen to pull out of the PDP led Government and had thereby proved that it was failed political party.
Harsh said that the decision to pull out from the Government was a political stunt by the BJP to enter the election campaign for 2019 polls. Having hoodwinked the people especially in Jammu during elections by its treacherous terrain of Jumlas, the saffron party was finding it difficult to face the Dogras in particular who were seething with anger.
He said the BJP could not escape responsibility for the massive killings of civilians and soldiers that took place in saffron rule besides release of thousands of stone-pelters in the past despite its glamorous slogans of zero tolerance against militancy and subversion. He said the abrupt ending of the three and a half year long soap-opera of BJP-PDP misrule had brought cheers even amongst the BJP voters who were feeling cheated and betrayed.
