JAMMU, June 12: Various political and social organizations have strongly condemned the statement of former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh regarding reinstatement of Article 370 after Congress comes to power in the country.
BJP senior leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta and party vice president, Yudhvir Sethi have also slammed the Digvijay Singh for his statement on Article 370 and Kashmiri Pandits. Kavinder Gupta said no one can stop Congress leader from daydreaming but reality is contrary to his statement. Yudhvir Sethi, while condemning the Digvijay Singh for giving sermons on Article 370, Kashmiriyat and secularism said where was he when KPs were forced to flee from the Valley. He termed Congress leader’s statement totally misleading that Pandits were getting reservations in jobs in Kashmir and urged him to seek written apology from the community.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) J&K has taken strong exception to the statement of senior Congress leader and former Minister, Digvijay Singh.
In a statement issued here, today VHP J&K president, Leela Karan Sharma made it clear to the people of India that this pro Pak agenda of terrorists can never be fulfilled as Congress or Digvijay minded people are never going to regain political power in India.
Senior BJP leader and ex vice Chairman, Pahari Welfare Board Kuldeep Raj Gupta also strongly condemned the statement and termed it misleading. The BJP leader in a statement issued here, today sought NIA probe into activities of Digvijay Singh.
KP Sabha president K K Khosa has also strongly condemned the misleading, irresponsible and motivated utterances of Digvijay Singh. In a statement Khosa said that Congress leader has tried to mislead the nation by stating that Kashmiri Pandits were having reservation in jobs in the erstwhile State. Khosa made it clear that there was no reservation to KPs in the Government jobs in Kashmir and Congress leader should seek apology for misleading the nation about the community.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) president, Kundan Kashmiri has ridiculed the statement of Congress leader. In a statement Kashmiri said that Digvijay was living in fool’s paradise by talking of reinstating the controversial Article. He said no power on earth can now reinstate it as it has gone lock, stock and barrel. He also termed the statement of Congress leader that KPs were getting reservations in Kashmir earlier was totally baseless and misleading.
