JAMMU, July 16: Providing much required momentum to the ongoing developmental works in Jammu, DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan started macadamization of road work from village Karwanda to Kalri via Masjid Mohalla.
The road stretch having a distance of 3.5 km will be accomplished by PWD with an estimated cost of Rs 38 lakh under City Town Scheme.
Addressing the gathering after the inauguration, the DDC Chairman said that he will work to achieve prolific welfare measures and satiate people’s aspirations and demands.
Claiming that this was among dozens of works which he had started in a short span of time, Bharat said that transforming Jammu’s development profile is his dream and he will try his best to implement on ground what he has promised to the people during election campaign trail. He categorically made it clear that people should contact him any time to project their demands as his sole aim is to render service to the society because he has joined politics not for power but for serving the people.
He said that the people will be kind enough if they visit and guide him on various issues because being a public servant he doesn’t want to miss a chance to provide succour to people facing hardships.
Later, locals apprised him about their problems and issues and demanded improvement in civic infra. Responding to the demands, he said that sooner than later their demands will be fulfilled as there is no dearth of funds and the will to work. He gave them full assurance to look into other demands on priority.
BDC Chairman, Kuldeep Raj, prominent workers of BJP and local villagers were also present.
