JAMMU, June 19: BJP State Mahila Morcha led by its State president Purnima Sharma held blood testing camp in the remembrance of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee on his Balidan Divas at Kachi Chawni Office with the help of “Sunshine Diagnostic Laboratory”, in which a large number of activists and general public availed the facility.
Purnima Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, said that the main motive of the camp was to remember the supreme sacrifice made by the great ideologist Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee on June 23 for the people of the State. In order to pay the great stalwart a true homage, the State Mahila Morcha decided to hold a blood testing camp, for enabling the women to donate the blood, to the needy persons during the emergency.
While speaking about the life history of Dr. Mookherjee, she said, he was a great social worker, barrister and academician carried the work of serving the humanity throughout his life and was the founder the Nationalist Party “Jan Sangh”.
She said that as many of the Mahila Morcha activists have volunteered to work as Vistaraks for the expansion of Party, so the programme for the blood testing camp was held before date. She said that, donating blood is a very good habit and every healthy person must inculcate it into the regular schedule of life. She further said that the blood is needed for the accidental cases as well as for certain chronic disease conditions, so donating blood can save life of the person as well as the other persons dependent on the patient.
State vice-president Monika Khosla, State general secretary Sanjita Dogra, State secretaries Shailja Gupta, Neena Gupta, Parveen Arora, Sushma Manhas and Monika Sharma, Geetanjali, Sangeeta Anand, Asha Sharma, Kamini, Radha and many other important Morcha leaders were present during the Blood Testing Camp.
