JAMMU, Dec 7: In order to make students aware about the concept of “Cashless Economy “, Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha (BJPMM) District Jammu President Rekha Mahajan organised a programme on cashless transactions in co-ordination with IT & Social Media Department of BJP, at Government College for Women, Parade.

In this programme, Rekha Mahajan explained the benefits of being cashless. She said that only cashless societies are generally corruption free. In India, 98 percent of corruption exists only due to cash system because cash is not traceable, not accountable and not controlled by Government. As has been practice since centuries, the cash can be used easily everywhere in country so we cannot become corruption free unless we are cashfree. If people are carrying less money there are less chances of snatching ,robbery, thefts or other types of crimes .Going cashless dethrone terrorists and criminals. It brings transparency and boosts economy because cost of managing paper money is high. It also adds up to environment as no tree will be cut for printing paper. She asked the students to shift their transactions from cash to cashless facility and also educate others to follow the same as it will be their contribution towards making India a corruption free, fake currency free nation with no place for black money, she added.
State Incharge, IT & Social Media Department,  Jaidev Rajwal, while giving the detailed presentation on the subject, said that the ‘Mobile Wallets’ will have a number of modes including ‘e-wallet’, ‘Unified Payments Interface’ (UPI), ‘Cards, PoS’ for Swiping, ‘Unstructured Supplementary Service Data’ (USSD) for linking Mobile number to one’s bank account,  ‘Aadhar’ Enabled Payment System for funds transfer, Balance Enquiry, Cash Deposit or Withdrawal and Interbank transaction through Thump Impression. He said that any information related to the Mobile Wallets can be enquired from the IT Cell of the party also.
He said that every decision of the Government at the Centre is itself historic and the nation will fast reach into an era of “Modern India” and stand with pride in the comity of nations.
