BJP’s double-engine will stop in HP on Nov 12: Sachin Pilot

HAMIRPUR (HP), Nov 1: Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot said here Tuesday that the double engine of the BJP will cease to operate in Himachal Pradesh from November 12, when the voters of the state will choose Congress and oust the Jai Ram Thakur Government.
While addressing an election rally for party candidate Pushpendra Verma at Gandhi Chowk, Pilot said that the Congress was united in Hamirpur and the state and party will sweep the elections this time.
He also addressed public meetings at Bangana in Una district and sought votes for the party candidate there. He said that during the BJP regime there was stark divide between the rich and poor.
While the rich have become richer, the poor are reeling under worse condition. For this, the only alternative is the Congress party who can end this gap. The Congress leader said joblessness is on the rise in India and it is a fact that the BJP led Central Government has accepted. He talked about the Chinese aggression on Indian land and said that the Modi Government had badly failed to settle the border issue.
Pilot said that the Thakur Government has failed to perform and that is why Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and his team are making rounds of Himachal Pradesh. This shows that BJP is in dire straits and will be ousted after the November 12 elections.
He called on the people to vote for Congress and save themselves from BJP’s misrule. (UNI)
