KALAKOTE, June 15: Former minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla has alleged that BJP stands exposed again for its fresh false promises, by the State Governor, Satya Pal Malik.
Addressing a public gathering at Kalakote today, Bhalla promised party workers and leaders of raising issues of the people with full strength adding that they have done their job well now its my turn to deliver. He assured them that to address their grievances they would always find him rock solid behind them. He also appreciated the efforts of Ex- MLA Ashok Sharma who in short notice managed campaigns and support for him and the party. He also thanked people of this segment during Lok Sabha elections.
Bhalla asked the party workers to introspect what they had done and where they went wrong as only self-assessment would bring a change in the party. He took strong exception to the back tracking of the BJP Govt over the contentious issue of Delimitation of Assembly constituencies in the state and termed its u-turn as a betrayal of the mandate of people.
Former MLA Ashok Sharma speaking on the occasion said that there was no respite to public from the severe water and power crisis during last four years. Health care facilities are inadequate and moreover, there is shortage of doctors and paramedical staff in majority of the hospitals. The Govt schools especially, the Higher Secondary schools are facing shortage of staff and sports activities are not being promoted there. The people are forced to drink unsafe/ unhygienic water at many places. Worst is the condition of road from Siot to Kalakote, while the pace of work on Taryath-Kalakote- Rajouri Road is very slow. He said that entire constituency is facing severe water crisis. The power curtailment has made lives of people miserable. The condition of 24 kms Kalakote-Siot road was worst.
Ex- MLC Jahangir Mir, Vinod Sharma and Sushil Jamwal also spoke on the occasion.
