JAMMU, Feb 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district president Jammu South, Rekha Mahajan stated that “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” directly interacted with the common masses, received massive public response in the Union Territory of J&K.
Rekha Mahajan held an interactive session, under the ongoing vibrant Gaon Chalo Abhiyan with the residents of Bhatindi of Bahu constituency near here. She, while speaking on the occasion said, It’s a wonderful initiative launched by the BJP to connect and reach out to every citizen who resides in India’s more than seven lakh villages. She elaborated that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi , India has been growing at an impressive rate and the people from villages, as well as urban areas, have benefitted from the multiple welfare schemes launched by the Modi Government.
Rekha Mahajan underlined that due to Modi’s untiring effort and efficient management, successful ten years of good governance the people of India are enjoying the fruits of development to reach their homes. She asserted that unlike in the dark age of Congress governments when middlemen reign terror, the cancer of corruption has been rooted out. Rekha enlightened the citizens of Bhatindi and its adjoining areas that today, the beneficiaries receive their dues in their bank accounts, or the medical expenses have become completely cashless under Ayushman Bharat, bringing a great sense of relief to people. Basic issues like cleanliness, which was looked down upon by Congress as unimportant, have been taken up on a mission mode under Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, allowing the people to have a cleaner village or town and live their lives with dignity.
She furthermore added that our mothers, who toil hard for the well-being of their family, have access to foodgrains via PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), energy via Ujjwala, home via PM Awas Yojana (PMAY), toilets via Swachh Bharat and education via many schemes of Modi Government like Eklavya Model Residential Schools. Every household in India is being empowered with Jan Dhan Yojana to become an active member of an inclusive economy and reap the fruits of development,” Rekha counted.
