BJP’s mission is development, welfare of people: Handoo

JAMMU, Oct 25: Senior BJP leader and National Executive Member, Mahila Morcha, Sheela Handoo who was recently elected as councilor in Anantnag Municipal Council of South Kashmir today reiterated her desire to work for development of historic town of Anantnag.
Handoo was talking to reporters at the sidelines of a function organised by the displaced District of the Party at Durganagar today after her arrival from Valley. She said it will be her endeavor to return the old glory to Anantnag township where Hindus and Muslims lived in complete peace and harmony and shared each others pleasures and sorrows. She said her party’s mission is development and welfare of masses as well as justice to all and appeasement to none.
She said, she will try her level best to develop her ward as well as work for development of entire Anantnag township as a Model town while complimenting the voters of the town who voted for her. Handoo said she will work in complete coordination with the other councilors for the development of the town and welfare of the people especially the women folk and try her level best to bridge the gulf created between the communities during last about three decades. BJP Mandal president Makhan Lal Bhat, senior leader T N Bhat and others also addressed the meeting.
