BJP’s Nari Samman Yatra concludes

JAMMU, Feb 7: The Nari Samman Yatra which was organized by State president of the Morcha Priya Sethi concluded at Mahajan Hall Shalamar here today.
During the concluding function BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma, leader of its Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, Ashok Koul Organisation Secretary, alongwith National vice president Rasham Dhar Sood and National Seceratary, Mahila Morcha Asha Jaswal, senior leaders  Chander Mohan Sharma, Suresh Jamwal, Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, Ravinder Raina, Purnima Sharma and Rajeev Charak were present.
BJP Mahila Morcha, at the National level, has chalked out this yatra to highlight the plight of women and the importance of womenfolk in Indian polity.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, on this occasion, said that the women constitute about 50 per cent of the population of the country and deserve the equal share in all matters and all levels but unfortunately they are still deprived of what is being availed by the men.
Rasham Sood while speaking on the motive of taking out “Mahila Samman Yatra” said that women living in different areas of the State have to face different problems on account of a number of reason and “we are on this yatra to take stock of such problems’’. She said that the BJP has always been working for welfare and equal opportunities to them. Our party has always stood for their political empowerment and support every such bill or law which is meant for their security and empowerment’’, she added.
Asha Jaiswal said that the BJP has always been in forefront for the rights of women and the same is clear from the fact that we have granted 33 per cent reservation in organizational setup and stand committed for political reservation as well.
Priya Sethi said that the Yatra has  passed through every tehsil headquarters. It has  reached the urban and local population and educate the masses about the role of women in family as well as society. The Morcha president also expressed concern over not extending benefits of various welfare schemes to genuine women of the State.
