UDHAMPUR, Oct 14: Activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Udhampur today staged a protest against the recent selection list of the Fire Brigade and demanded its immediate cancellation.
The protest was held outside Venus Chowk under the leadership of BJYM district Udhampur president Sushant Gupta, alleging major disturbances and rigging in the fire brigade service recruitment. BJYM volunteers shouted slogans against fire and emergency department and demanded stern action against the corruption officials involved in rigging.
Speaking on the occasion, Sushant Gupta said that it is extremely unfortunate and shocking as to how corruption and brokerage are prevalent in the recruitment process, due to which deserving youth are being deprived of their right to get jobs.
He warned that if the so-called recruitment list of the fire brigade would not be withdrawn or cancelled soon, the BJYM would launch a massive agitation.
