JAMMU, Oct 5: A delegation of BJYM Kashmir unit called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, M L Raina here today and submitted a memorandum to him drawing his attention to some problems of the displaced Pandits.
The delegation demanded allotment of shops at Jagti township to the deserving applicants, bifurcation of ration cards of single soul category, opening of a special cell at Delhi to grant PRCs to migrants registered at Delhi and adjoining areas.
The delegation expressed its satisfaction over the steps taken by RRC in renovating the quarters of PM package employees at Baramulla and Natsunu Badgam besides taking up in hand the other civil works. The RRC assured the delegation that water crisis at Baramulla Camp will be addressed within next few months.
The delegation was led by president displaced district BJYM Ramesh Kaul and its other members included Ravinder Bhan its general secretary, Sanjay Bhat secretary and Ravi Manttoo.
