BJYM pays tribute to BSF martyrs

JAMMU, Apr 25: Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) paid tribute to BSF martyrs of Jammu Frontiers who sacrificed their lives in a mine blast at Gharana village of RS Pura on April 25, 2000.
The Morcha held a function at Sarora under the leadership of BJYM president District Rural Jammu, Deepak Panday wherein former Minister, Ch Sukhnandan joined the event to pay homage to the martyrs.
Former Minister said that six jawans had lost their lives in a mine blast during the patrolling on a border in RS Pura Sector wherein three belonged to Sarora village of Marh Constituency namely Shamsher Singh, Pawan Singh and Ashok Saini. “All of them were of the same village, studied in the same school of the village and fortunately served the same Battalion of BSF when they got martyrdom,” he recalled.
“I bow to all the heroes, their valour and supreme sacrifice in the defense of the motherland and also salute the undaunted courage of their families. Today, the Tricolour is waving with pride due to the gallantry of our soldiers who had sacrificed their life for the nation,” he asserted.
DDC Marh Balbir Lal, Corporator Krishan Lal, Mohinder Kumar, Ex Sarpanch Akalpur Varinder Singh Sunny, District Secretary BJYM Rural Raman Bhagat, vice president BJYM Jammu Rural Naresh Kashyap and many others were present during the event.
