JAMMU, June 17: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha strongly protested against the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over his anti-BJP, anti-Dogra remarks and burnt his effigy, at Kachi Chawani, here today.
Led by BJYM State president Ravinder Raina, senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi and BJP Mahila Morcha State president Priya Sethi, a large number of youth workers of BJYM and BJP Mahila Morcha took a strong protest procession from party headquarters raising anti-Omar slogans and burnt the effigy of Chief Minister.
Addressing the activists BJYM State president Ravinder Raina termed the Abdullah dynasty as anti-Dogra. He said the worst ever rout of NC-Congress in the Lok Sabha elections and the most humiliating defeat of Abdullahs from Srinagar seat in Kashmir has frustrated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and seeing the worst ever defeat in upcoming Assembly elections, he started abusing the BJP MLAs who always stood against the anti poor policies of the Omar Abdullah.
Accusing the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as anti-Dogra, anti-poor and pro-corruption, he said people of the State are suffering badly from the unavailability of drinking water and power crisis and instead of taking stock of the situation, Omar abused the BJP MLA who were demanding the regular supply of electricity and pure drinking water.
BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi while addressing the activists said the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government has failed on all fronts. The Chief Minister failed to hold elections to the Urban Local Bodies for the last over five years and the village Panchayats, elections to which were held four years ago and which have yet to start functioning.
Lambasting the ruling alliance, Priya Sethi said Omar Government has a vested interest to perpetuate the present highly centralized system of governance which breeds corruption, injustice and arbitrariness and nothing to do with the common man.
