JAMMU, Aug 13: Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), led by President Arun Prabhat, staged a protest against Dr Farooq Abdullah, former Chief Minister and senior NC leader, for his derogatory remarks about the Indian Army.
The protest, held at Library Chowk, Kachi Chawni, involved burning an effigy of Abdullah and chanting slogans against him and the National Conference.
The demonstrators condemned Abdullah’s comments, accusing him of undermining the Indian Army’s valor and demoralizing the armed forces.
Arun Prabhat criticized Abdullah for his history of patronizing anti-India elements and questioned the former Chief Minister’s commitment to National unity.
He accused Abdullah of contributing to the turmoil and stagnation in Jammu & Kashmir over the past 70 years.
Prabhat declared that such remarks would not be tolerated by the people of Jammu & Kashmir, who hold the Indian Army in high regard.
He demanded a public apology from Abdullah, emphasizing that the BJYM and the region’s youth are committed to defending the integrity and honor of the Indian Army.
The protest saw participation from BJYM workers including Abhishek Slathia, Ishant Mahajan and Rajat Singh Manhas.
The event highlighted the BJYM’s stance on protecting national pride and responding vigorously to any disrespect towards the Indian Armed Forces.
