Black out in Marh villages

JAMMU, Aug 14: A total black out has been witnessed in Karloop, Flora and about half a dozen adjoining villages and hamlets  of Marh block,  in district Jammu for the last three days as the PDD authorities have failed to replace the damaged transformer  in the area.
The local residents told the Excelsior that they had approached to the concerned PDD field staff,  even the AEE,  Anil Abrol and Executive Engineer  PDD Division-III, Rehari  (Jammu)  Sanjay  Sharma, but  transformer was not replaced or repaired by the PDD authorities. The people of the area are suffering badly in the absence of power supply in these villages, under extreme hot and humid conditions.
They have sought  the immediate intervention of  Sub Divisional Administration Marh and Chief Engineer EM&RE, Jammu and maintained that people should be ensured uninterrupted power supply on Janamashtami festival.
AEE concerned Anil Abrol when contacted said that there was no spare transformer in the PDD workshop. He said the matter was in his knowledge  and transformer will be replaced tomorrow positively.
