UDHAMPUR, Sept 22: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Gupta today convened joint meeting of officers of PHE, PWD and PMGSY to take stock of developmental works being executed by these departments in Udhampur Constituency.
Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Udhampur divulged that machadamazation/black topping of roads of Udhampur town is being taken in hand shortly.
The Executive Engineer PMGSY Division, Udhampur divulged that DPRs in respect of construction of roads from Bansa Morh to Barnake, Mansar to Soarp, Dabraih to Kred, Charl to Sewail, Garnai to Upper Garnai, upgradation of Garhi to Gatiya I Morh, Chopra Shop Chak Road to Patla, Chopra Shop Chak Road to Nallian, Chopra Shop Railway bridge to Partara, Chopra Shop near Shaurya Public School to Bakal, Chak to Parla Chak, Kukad Morh to Kah (Barta), Ritti to Bharta khas, Ritti to Kothi,Battal to Chery, Battalballian to Thil, Battalballian to Bradian and bridges have been furnished to GoI for sanction and release.
While discussing various projects, Gupta exhorted upon the functionaries to accelerate pace of the works and not to compromise on quality. He issued on spot instructions to the functionaries of PHE and PWD to make close liaison while carrying out their activities so that no losses on the works executed by either of the departments are reported.
Gupta directed the Executive Engineer PHE Division Udhampur to ensure repair and replacement of damaged old pipeline, if any, passing through the roads of Udhampur town in coordination with PW (R&B) Department well before start of black topping of the roads.
