KATHUA, Feb 15: Up in arms against wrecked condition of the road, locals of Dhanna and adjoining areas held a protest demonstration against Public Works Department, today.
The protesters held protest dharna at outside DC office, Kathua and raised slogans against the PWD and demanded immediate repair of the road.
They said that condition of the road was very miserable and they had earlier approached the District Administration and concerned department many times seeking repair and black topping of the road but nothing was done in this regard.
Later the protester were assured by senior officials of DC office to consider their demand symmetrically.
The protesters warned to block the National Highway if repair of the road is not done immediately.
