JAMMU, Dec 4: A blast took place near an Army post behind the Army camp in Surankote area of Poonch district in early hours of this morning but there were no casualties.

No official statement was issued either by Army or by the police on the incident.
Reports, however, said the blast was reported close to the Army post and there were no casualties.

Some of the reports suggested that the terrorists lobbed two grenades on the Army post. One of them exploded but missed the target. Safety pin of the grenade has also been recovered near the spot.
Security has, however, being intensified in Surankote and surrounding areas after the blast.
