JAMMU, Mar 20: Bhagya Laxmi Charitable trust (BLCT) today organized a BHAJAN SANDHAYA, the voice of soul, at K L Saigal Hall in Academy of Art, Culture and languages, Jammu.
Director Doordarshan Kender Jammu, Anjali Sharma, was the chief guest on this occasion. Bhagwat Bhushan Yog-Aacharya, Munish Sharma, Chairman (Advisory Committee), BLCT, Arvind Kumar, Music Director and Composer were the guests of honour. The music programme was inaugurated by the chief guest and guests of honour.
Praveen Sharma anchored the programme followed by Great Religious & Bollywood Singer Surinder Singh Manhas lightened the function with his presence and Bhajan singing, Uttan Singh ‘uttam’, (“Surbhi” children programme fame) and promoter of Dogri culture at national level gave a heart throb performance, he also informed the audience about the different aspects of musical composition. Ravi Raguvanshi and Pavitter Sharma presented the soul touching Bhajan and musical pieces based mainly on Dogri folk. The young talent like Miss Vanshika Jaral, Miss Pallavi Koul and Miss Samiksha Mehta also showed their talent in the Bhajan Sandhaya which was chanted by the audience and august guests.
The Musician maestro Rakesh Anand, (Fluetist), Lucky Jasrotia, (Tabla), Shubham, (Guitarist) and Chandan, (Keyboard) made the musical programme a memorable one.
Earlier the audience was informed about the history of Bhagya Laxmi Charitable Trust and working till date by Ashwani Kumar Sharma, Chairman, BLCT, followed by Shivender Kumar (Famous Guitarist) and General Secretary, BLCT, Vice Chairman, Manmohan Kumar, Mrs Sakshi Sharma, Joint Secretary and Sachin Kumar, Treasurer in the programme.
Later the chief guest felicitated the Bhajan Singers and Musicians with mementoes and addressed the audience to promote the young talent to boost their career in music at national and international level. She thanked the NGOs effort to promote religious culture and offered full support from Doordarshan Kender and every possible help in this field.
