Blind murder case cracked

SRINAGAR, Oct 23: Police today made a breakthrough in a blind murder case of a woman from Bemina within just five days.
Authorities disclosed that on October 17, the Bemina Police Station received information about an unidentified woman who had been murdered, and her dead body was discovered on the roadside at Durbal, Bemina.
“Immediately, a police team from the Bemina Police Station rushed to the spot to secure the body and preserve the crime scene,” the police reported.
Consequently, they registered case FIR No. 101/2023 under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and initiated an investigation.
The deceased was later identified as Tanveera, the wife of Showkat Ahmad Kaloo and a resident of Nundresh Colony B in Batamaloo, Srinagar, police said.
“Through a thorough investigation led by the team, headed by the SDPO West and assisted by the SHO Bemina, it was established that the aforementioned woman was murdered on October 16, 2023, at West End Colony, Hyderpora. Subsequently, her body was moved from Hyderpora to Durbal, Bemina in an attempt to confuse the investigation agency,” the police revealed.
With the help of available technical evidence and sustained interrogation of the suspects, the police made significant recoveries.
According to the police, four individuals, Abina Parveez (the sister-in-law of the deceased and the wife of Parveez Ahmad Shah, a resident of West End Colony, Hyderpora), a minor female child, Ghulam Mohammad Ahanger (the son of the late Haji Ghulam Hussain Ahanger, a resident of Khushipora HMT, currently residing in Gulposh Apartment Bemina), and Jala Wadoo (the wife of Ghulam Mohammad Ahanger, a resident of Khushipora HMT, also residing in Gulposh Apartment Bemina, and the parents of the main accused), have been arrested by the Bemina Police.
The police emphasized that the investigation into the case is still ongoing.
