Blind murder case solved; accused arrested

KARGIL, June 28: Police solved a blind murder case with the arrest of the accused.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil Anayat Ali while talking to media persons said that a missing report of a lady was entered into the daily dairy of Police Post Panikhar on June 7 this year. The body of the lady was recovered on June 15 this year, which was identified by her husband, he added.
“A case under FIR Number 52/2021 under Sections 302 and 201 IPC was registered at Police Station Kargil and investigation was set into motion”, SSP informed.
During the course of investigation, police came to fore that 2 labourers from Nepal, who were working in Panikhar are absconding, SSP disclosed.
“After conducting meticulous and precise search by using technology and human assets, one of the absconding persons namely Vijay Rawat was caught when he was trying to flee away from Kargil”, SSP said, adding that during sustained questioning, he confessed that he murdered the lady along with his friend Ajun Rao.
A team led by Additional SP Kargil Ifikhar Talib and assisted by SHO Kargil Inspector Manzoor Hussain, SI Tsewang Stanzin and Incharge Police Post Panikhar SI Mohammad Ali solved the blind murder case and arrested the accused, SSP Anayat Ali added.
