Blind patients regain vision free of cost at Rotary Hospital

UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: Eighteen blind patients were operated free of cost for implantation of IOL (Inter Ocular Lens) and all of them regained their vision at Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur.
Members of Rotary Club Udhampur were present at Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital Udhampur. CMO Udhampur, Dr K C Dogra was specially invited for the occasion.
Rtn D N Sharma, chairman of Rotary Eye Hospital Udhampur, Rtn S S Kerni, Kamal Gupta along with the attendants of operated patients were also present during the camp. Awareness was also given to the patients about the eye care after surgery so that better vision is maintained in future.
These patients were examined during a free screening camp by the Rotary Hospital at Chenani on September 11. Total 140 patients were examined in that camp and 25 of them were found partially blind.
Till date 320 patients have been operated free of cost for implantation of Intra Ocular Lens under the HBCEHP.
