Srinagar, Nov 10: BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital, New Delhi, today announced the launch of exclusive Multi-Specialty OPD services for Urology & Renal Transplantation and Neurosurgery & Neuro Spine in partnership with Srinagar-based Sheikh Ul Alam Hospital.
The OPD services were inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Shafiq Ahmed, Director of Urology, Andrology & Renal Transplant at BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital, and Dr. Rohit Bansil, Associate Director of Neurosurgery & Neuro Spine at BLK-Max, along with Dr. Tanveer Iqbal from Sheikh Ul Alam Hospital.
During a press conference, it was announced that Dr. Shafiq will conduct OPD consultations on the 4th Sunday of every month, while Dr. Rohit will be available on the 1st Sunday at Sheikh Ul Alam Hospital.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Shafiq highlighted that the Urology & Renal Transplantation OPD aims to extend medical support to patients in Srinagar and surrounding regions.
He added that recent technological advancements have made treatments for prostate ailments and renal transplants minimally invasive, particularly with robot-assisted procedures.
“Our expert team has extensive experience in performing complex urological and renal transplant surgeries using robotic technology,” he said.
Dr. Rohit also addressed attendees, emphasizing that the OPD reflects the hospital’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for patients in this region.
He noted, “People often come to us with symptoms such as headaches, migraines, sudden dizziness or unconsciousness, difficulty walking, loss of balance, sensory changes, vision issues, speech problems, and swallowing difficulties. These may signal serious conditions, and early diagnosis can significantly improve treatment outcomes.”
