Block Gundna neglected by Government

Deplorable condition of Bhawani Nagar Road. —Excelsior/Rakesh

May it be brought to the notice of authorities that Block Gundna is deprived of many facilities like drinking water, power supply, link roads and many more. One such example is of Pullpar Prem Nagar – a small town beside NH2. The town on the northern bank of the river Chanderbhaga is without light for over a year as only a 100 KVA is catering to the needs of two mohras of Pyt Halqa Jatheli where the no. of domestic connections is over 130 besides a commercial connection and some illegal ones. The authorities including the DDC Doda were approached a number of times in this connection. But the authorities are lingering on the issue making false excuses and vain promises.
There are many villages in the said block who are deprived of such basic facilities. The scheme for supplying water to Halqa Mohalla stands sanctioned, funds allotted but no execution of work is there despite number of representations. No link road to pull par Prem Nagar despite the fact that this market serves the daily needs of over 10,000 population. Our school going children are forced to read under candle light despite hard competition going on.

Blacktop Muthi road
The Muthi road which branches off at Police Naka Roopnagar is in a bad condition. The road has developed some pot-holes all along the road. These pot-holes remain a source of constant worry for motorists especially during night hours and in rainy season.
These pot-holes need to be filled at the earliest to avoid accidents on this busy road. It is hoped that authorities would swing into action at the earliest.

Widen Akalpur road
The Akalpur road passing through village Akalpur is in a dilapidated condition.
The road is riddled with pot-holes and puddles and is damaged at various places. Besides, the road is too narrow to allow two way traffic.
In view of its deplorable condition, it is requested to the concerned authorities to widen the road in its first stage. Then in second stage, get it black-topped to make people use it safely.

Construct Ramzanpura ramp anew
The residents of Ramzanpura Mohalla Janipur are peeved at the way PWD authorities have constructed the ramp leading to Mohalla. This causes obstruction in smooth movement of traffic on this road.
Whenever, any vehicle tries to pass over this ramp it gets stuck and it results in damage to the vehicle. Due to this the residents especially motorists face great problems.
The authorities are requested to demolish this ramp and construct another new one at this place.

Bhawani Nagar road in bad condition
This is to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards the deplorable condition of the Kheerbhawani road which was dug up for laying sewerage pipe two years back. As the road has not been repaired since then, people here face great inconvenience.
This is not out of place to mention here that the road leads to Kheer bhawani temple at the park that is located in the colony.
The road remains quite busy as large number of devotees and morning and evening walkers throng their respective destinations.
Further, it is said here that autorikshaw drivers remain reluctant to ply on this damaged road. As a result patients and children suffer great inconvenience at times.
Therefore, it is urged to the authorities look into the matter, and get it black-topped at the earliest.
