Bloeria inaugurates 3-day Faculty Development Programme

JAMMU, Nov 18: Three -day Faculty Development Programme organised by Department of Human Resource Management and the Department of Travel and Tourism Management on “Scholarly Writing and Case Analysis” of Central University was inaugurated by Dr. S. S. Bloeria Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Jammu today.
At the onset of the inaugural ceremony Prof. Ashok Aima welcomed the participants and highlighted the key dimensions and the details of the Faculty Development Programme.  He also announced holding of HR workshop and National seminar on Restoring cultural linkages on Silk route.
In his Key note address Prof. R.L. Raina, Dean Planning and Development, IIM, Lucknow, spoke regarding his association with the University. He emphasized on the critical areas in contemporary Scholarly writing and case analysis.
Dr. S.S. Bloeria in his presidential address encouraged faculty and research scholars to carry on the good work and highlighted the importance of maintaining the balance between clarity and conciseness besides   stressing these 2 C’s.  He said that one should not compromise on the quality while writing.
The first and second session was conducted by Prof. R.L. Raina where paradigmatic shifts in contemporary scholarship and modalities of research writing were discussed. Being an important academic initiative of its first kind participants were drawn from   University of Jammu, SMVDU ,BGSBU Rajouri, University of Kashmir and other institutions.
Third session was conducted by the Prof. R.L. Bhat, H.o.D. Department of Economics, Central University of Jammu. He discussed about the scientific approach to research and highlighted the importance of conceptual clarity and research methodology for quality research.
The proceedings of the inaugural ceremony was conducted by Ms. Harleen while vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Anjali Pathania besides the program was coordinated other  faculty members including Dr Monika Harkar, Shahid Mushtaq, Dr. Neelika Arora, Mr Zubair and students of MBA(HRM & TTM).
