Bloeria stresses for incorporation of 73rd, 74th Amendment in SPR

VIJAYPUR, June 4: Member Legislative Council, Rani Gargi Bloeria, today stressed for incorporation of 73rd and 74th Amendment of Panchayati Raj Act of India in the State Panchayati Raj (SPR) and reservation for women in coming elections.
She was speaking in a meeting convened by her at her office here today. The meeting which was like open darbar of leaders, office leaders, Panchs, Sarpanchs, women leaders and Kissan leaders of Vijaypur constituency.
The MLC asked the leaders of the area to strengthen the party at grass root level so that the programmes and policies of AICC president, Sonia Gandhi and its vice-president, Rahul Gandhi to benefit the downtrodden and poor masses could be made successful.
She further said that she has already released Rs 25 lakh from her CDF fund to improve the lanes, drains, and roads of the constituency and the wrk on ground will be started very soon after completing legal formalities.
Earlier, Former working district president, Samba, Sujan Singh Slathia, highlighted the various problems being faced by the people of Vijaypur constituency. He demanded to open a library and Tehsil Headquarter at Village Gurah Slathia. He also urged the MLC to issue orders for improving water supply in the Kandi belt and upgradation of transformers in the area to het uninterrupted power supply in the area.
Senior Congress leader, Sardar Sarbjit Singh, who also spoke on the occasion, criticized the discriminatory attitude of the district administration towards the pople living below poverty line by not issuing the BPL certificates to the deserving ones.
