JAMMU, Mar 17: A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by some Social Organizations for Thallasaemia Children in Blood Bank of SMGS Hospital Jammu, under the Patronage of HoD Blood Transfusion Department (Dr. Meena Sidhu).
The Camp is organized every year with the sincere efforts of Dr.Falak Gupta, working as Medical Officer In Paediatrics Department under NHM.The camp was overwhelmingly supported by entire hospital administration. As may as 75 pints of blood were collected during the event and certificates with momentoes were distributed among the donors.
Principal & Dean GMC Dr.Sunanda Raina was the chief guest on the occasion accompanied by Secretary Red Cross Organization Dinesh Gupta, Medical Superintendent (Dr.Manoj Chalotra), Deputy MS Dr.Rakesh Kumar Sharma, HoD Paediatrics Dr.Ghanshyam Saini and other Staff members of Blood Bank.
Besides some social activists, who volunteered for blood donation, hospital staff including Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Consultant Paediatrics NHM Dr.Ajay Choudhary, NHM Accounts Manager Sandeep Arora and NHM DEO Abhay Suri also donated their blood.
