JAMMU, Oct 28: 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, NSS Wing and Red Cross unit of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar organized a blood donation camp to pay tribute to martyrs of the nation on 70th Infantry Day.
The camp was organized in collaboration Red Cross Society Jammu and Government Medical College Jammu. Prof Kaushal Smotra, Principal of the college and Col RK Sharma, Commanding Officer of 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC inaugurated the camp.
About 300 students including NSS, NCC, Red Cross volunteers and teachers promptly came forward for the noble cause.
A motivational lecture was also delivered on the occasion by RC Puri, Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu region, highlighting the services of Red Cross Society to the nation. He inspired volunteers to whole heartedly contribute for the welfare of mankind.
