JAMMU, Sept 17: In connection with celebration of birthday of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized various programmes under “Sewa Pakhwada” today.
Blood donation camps were organized under the supervision of BJYM, J&K. Twenty four camps were organized in the Jammu-Kashmir region in which more than 1200 units of blood were donated for the use of respective blood banks.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina donated blood in a blood donation camp organized by BJP Yuva Morcha in GMC Hospital, Bakshi Nagar, here. On this occasion Commissioner Secretary, Health, Bhupinder Kumar presented blood donation certificate to Ravinder Raina. Large number of BJP and BJYM activists donated blood on the occasion.
Ravinder Raina, while inaugurating the camp, said that the BJP activists will carry out a series of programmes on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. BJP will embark on a fortnight-long nationwide drive of public outreach with initiatives like blood donation, helping the poor and disabled, and cleanliness measures, and also observe a “unity in diversity” programme in the service of the society.
Ashok Koul, J&K BJP general secretary (Org.) inaugurated the blood camp at Gandhi Nagar Hospital. He was accompanied by Dr. Narinder Batyal, Medical Superintendent, Gandhi Nagar, Hospital. Certificates were also distributed to the donors on the occasion.
Ashok Koul inaugurated a car rally organized by the ‘Indian Power Lifting Federation’ from Kalika Dham, Railway Station, Jammu to Rotary Club, Jammu.
Ashok Koul inaugurated another blood donation camp organized by BJP Health and Medical Cell with the help of Bee Enn Charitable Hospital and Sanskrit Vichar Manch at Shree Satya Sai Health Care R S Pura in which 40 units of blood were donated. Dr. Narinder Singh BJP national Secretary, district president HS Pummy, SC Morcha president Gharu Ram Bhagat, DDC Member Vidhya Mottan, Cell State convener, Puneet Mahajan, Ayodhya Gupta, Brijeshwar Rana and others were present.
Volunteers of Akhil Bharat Tera Panth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP) also donated blood at DH Gandhi Nagar in presence of Ashok Koul, whereas they organized a similar programme at Jain Mandir, Jammu. The Parishad organized 2000 similar programmes PAN India.
MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma accompanied by BJP general secretary Dr. D K Manyal, former Minister CP Ganga, former Minister SS Slathia inaugurated blood donation camp at District Hospital, Samba.
Sunil Sharma, J&K BJP general secretary distributed food items among the needy at Kishtwar. He was accompanied by other senior leaders of the party.
Vibodh Gupta, J&K BJP general secretary inaugurated the blood donation camp at Bee Enn Charitable Hospital, Talab Tillo. He was accompanied by district president Rajinder Chib, DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, former MLA ShivDev Singh Manhas, BJP secretary, Vikas Choudhary, Kissan Morcha President Omi Khajuria and other party leaders.
On the directions of DG Prisons, H. K. Lohia all prisons in collaboration with Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad , organised blood donations camp on the birthday of Prime Minister, to support the country wide mega blood donation drive ,to raise awareness about humanitarian issue of donation of blood .
On the occasion, 31 volunteers donated blood in District Jail Ambphalla under the supervision of Jail Superintendent, Mirza Salim.
Indian Red Cross Society organised series of blood donation camps at different places today with different organizations like Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad, Jain Nagar Talab Tillo, Mahavir International Jammu Centre at Bahu Plaza, Rotary Club Jammu and Sharva Foundation Mubarak Mandi complex. Sat Paul Sharma, secretary Indian Red Cross personally supervised the blood donation in these camps.
Meanwhile, in connection with the PM, Narendra Modi’s birthday BJP SC Morcha Cell celebrated the occasion with slum children of Sun Rise Public School at Chhani Himmat. The programme was held under the chairmanship of BJP leader and spokesperson, Dr Tahir Choudhary and member of J&K Waqf Board, Suhail Qazmi, Gau Raksha Samiti, president, Raj Kumar Gupta and social activist Sunaal Kakkar were the chief guests on the occasion.
