Bloody clash over land dispute, 3 hurt

MENDHAR, Nov 9: Three persons including a couple were injured in a bloody group clash over a land dispute at village Bera in tehsil Mendhar today.
A police spokesman said  there was a clash between the families of Master Abdul Hai and Mohd Azam, both uncle and nephew, over some old land dispute at the village this morning. Both the sides freely exchanged lethal weapons. Altaf Ullah, Mehtab Ullah, both sons of Abdul Hai working in Army had also come home on leave. Another son, Sharief Ullah is working in PHE Department. All the three allegedly attacked family of Mohd Azam and caused serious injuries to the couple.
During the bloody clash, Mohd Azam (55), his wife Azmat Bi (47) and Abdul Hai were injured and shifted to Sub- District Hospital, Mendhar. The condition of the couple was said to be serious. They were being referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter but no arrest was reported till late this evening.
