BLSKS celebrates International Dance Day

JAMMU, Apr 29: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in co-ordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education celebrated International Dance Day presented a musical concert ‘Rangila Duggar’ at Durga Bhawan Janipur, here today.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K in the presence of guest of honour VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI.
The songs were written & produced by MLDogra chairman (BLSKS). The programme was commenced with songs “Jammu Sada Dogre Da Saher, followed by ‘Ae Desh Ke Dularo’, ‘Duggar Desh De Vasiyo’, ‘Loka Kadu Chuk Goriye’, ‘Oh Jija Kiya Jana Udhampura’ and ‘Salira Dhara’.
The music of the songs was composed by renowned singer Raju Bajgal. The chief guest highlighted the theme and importance of this year Dance Day, ‘Purpose of Dance’ and said that this day celebration is for those who can see the value and importance of the art form “Dance” and acts as a wake-up-call for governments, politicians and institutions which have not yet recognised its value.
The concert was performed by Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, MC Kotwal, Bindia Arora, Vandana Gupta, Jiya Barua, Sadvi and Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, whereas Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
