JAMMU, Dec 30: To promote the duggar traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sangeet (BLSKS) launched one week special campaign on ‘Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan’and presented 189th Saturday Series Musical Play in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and J&K Bhoomi Human Welfare Society at Durga Bhawan, Janipur, here.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr Anju Dogra from Health Department, J&K Government.
Dr Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director, Health Department, J&K Government, VK Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Sajjad Poonchi, President All India Cultural Association, Poonch J&K and RP Amla Former Field Publicity Assistant of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India were the guests of honour.
During the campaign the artists of BLSKS would cover the blocks of Jammu district like Birpur, Vijaypur, Marh, Akhnoor, Kot Bhalwal and Dansal.
The chief guest lauded the role of BLSKS in creating awareness on the subject by staging colourful cultural programmes comprising of skits / dances /songs etc and also urged the artists/cultural organizations to contribute in enriching of the cultural heritage of the country.
The musical play & songs were written by ML Dogra (Chairman BLSKS), while the music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS.
Earlier, welcoming the audience Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan highlighted the importance of the “Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan”.
KK Joshi, Vice Chaiman, BLSKS also spoke on the occasion.
The singers, musicians and actors who performed were Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Deevam Jandiyal, Ujwal Sharma, Druv Pandit, Tilak Raj, MC Kotwal, Sant Das, Rahul Kumar, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Rakesh Katoch, Chahat Chadha, Bhoomika Chib, Ujwal, Rakshit Sharma, Darsh Kachroo, Shiv, Bodh Raj, Ravi Kumar, Darshan Rajwal, Vanshika, Shivali, Parul Sharma, Vishali and Sumeta Bhat.
