JAMMU, June 6: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Unison Cultural Troupe & ESRM , presented its 53rd musical play series “Ped Lagao Desh Bachao” at Open Air Theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu to draw the attention of the masses to protect nature and the planet Earth.
The Program was inaugurated by V K Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity ,Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Government of India. Tara Singh Charak Former Deputy Director, Health Department of J&K Government J K Raina, Producer, Director of Doordarshan serials, Dr A C Bhagat, former chief officer Department of Animal Husbandry, J&K Government were guests of honour.
The day was commemorated as ” World Environment Day” as well with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, Primitive Folk, Art, Culture of J&K Region in particular and Indian nation in general. Items specially prepared on the themes like “Ped Lagao Desh Bachao” “Jal Hi Jeevan Jeevan Hi Jal Hai”, “Hariyali laye prithvi bachaen Hara bhra ho sansaar humara, Sundar sundar pyara pyara”, “Pardooshan ko rakhho door”, “Jivan ho shakti se bharpoor.” including Skits , Slogans Songs and Dances were presented to aware the masses & the music was composed by renowned singer Raju Bajgal. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective through the children of music and computer institutions.
The singers, musician and actors who performed were Usha Handoo, JK Raina, Raju Bajgal (Instrument ), Rajat Verma, Rajni Gupta, Neelam Gandotra, Hem Raj , Kamli Devi, Shivani Disgotra, Deevam Jandiyal (Tabla ), K K Joshi, MC Kotwal, Rakshit Sharma, Ruksana Kousar, Dhruv Pandit, Pranavi Khajuria, Rajanya Khajuria, Samarth Gupta, Sanam Gupta, Vansh Raina, Darsh, Renu Sapru, Shaksham Khajuria, Abhyud, Rajveer, Vandana Gupta, Anantika Sharma, L-Danika , Bhumika Chib, Neelam Chib, Ayush Bhat, Rahul Wanchoo and Mohd Afroz.
