JAMMU, Aug 21: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production today presented a programme on drug abuse at Open Air Theatre in Janipur here to aware masses about harms of drug abuse.
The programme was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, Former Deputy Director Health Department.
Among the guests of honour were V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity; Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital and R.P Amla, Director of the Concert.
The specially prepared items for the occasion were ‘Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio’, ‘Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho’ etc.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest talked about drugs and crime and highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and its illegal trade.
Artist of BLSKS also presented songs on COVID-19 like ‘Corona Cha Bachoo’, ‘Savdhan Savdhan Corona Mahamari Se Bacha Lo Apne Pran’ etc.
The songs were written by M.L Dogra and were recorded and upload on social media for general public.
Welcome speech was given by M.L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS who highlighted the event and appealed to the audience especially children to be the eyes and ears of the nation and pledged to put maximum efforts to make J&K free from the menace of drug addiction.
Anju Dogra stressed for maximum attention of masses towards addicted population which has fallen prey to the use of tobacco, tobacco products, alcohol, Cocaine, Morphine, Heroin etc.
The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who participated in the musical concert were K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Usha Handoo, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Bindia Arora, Rishab Khokar, Pawan Kumar, Jolly and others.
