JAMMU, Dec 6: On World Soil Day, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production here today presented Dogri Musical Concert ‘Roti Kapda Sehat Makan’ on the theme ‘Keep Soil Alive, Protect Soil Biodiversity’.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity.
Among guests of honour were J.K Raina, Free Lancer Producer-Director Films; Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K; Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital Jammu and R.P Amla.
Specially prepared items on the theme were ‘Banjar Dharti Sona Ugle, Mere Desh Ki Dharti Sona Ugle’ Nukkad, skits, songs and dances.
The songs were written by M.L Dogra and music was composed by M.C Kotwal, general secretary BLSKS. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest talked about the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and human well-being by addressing the growing challenges in soil management, fighting soil biodiversity loss and encouraging communities and individuals around the world to commit proactively for improving soil health.
Artists who participated in musical concert were Usha Handoo, K.K Joshi, M.C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Bindia Arora, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Chahat Chadha, Kanchan, Gouri Lal and others.
