BLSKS presents Dogri musical play ‘Nashe Kola Bacho’

JAMMU, Apr 26: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with J&K Social Welfare Department and Sangam Tru Art Production presented Dogri musical play mega ‘Nashe Kola Bacho’ at Perfect Foundation Public School, Janipur Colony, Jammu.
On the occasion, M C Kotwal (secretary BLSKS) administered a pledge on ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ to more than 100 students and teachers. The program was inaugurated by the Sheetal Manhas, Principal, Perfect Foundation Public School, Janipur. Among the guest of honours present were Preeti Kotwal, Priyanka Thakur and Supriya Ragotra, senior teaching staff of the host school.
The musical play ‘Nashe Kola Bacho’ was staged with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, primitive folk, art and culture of J&K region in particular and Indian in general. The specially items prepared on the theme were “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio”, ” Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho”, “Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab Chutki”, “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma”, “Aj Gali Gali Aur Gaoun Goun Mai Sabne Azam Uthaya Hai and “Laga Graan Sarde Setu Da Mela”.
The nukkad, skits, songs and dances were also presented to aware the masses. The theme based songs presented on the occasion were written by Dr M L Dogra and the music was given by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor, BLSKS.
The singers, musician and actors who performed on the occasion were M C Kotwal, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Bindia Okheda, Chahat Chadha, Sanjeev Kumar, Sudesh Devi, Rahul Kumar, Mukesh Singh, Zulekha Farid, Afroz Aalam, Sunil Dalotra and Sant Dass.
