JAMMU, Nov 14: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) presented Dogri musical play “Sugar Kola Bacho” as part of its regular feature in its office premises today.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Tara Singh Charak. Guests of honour were V K Magotra and Dr Anju Kumari Dogra. The play was written, produced and directed by M L Dogra, chairman BLSKS.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest lauded the Sansthan and underlined the importance of staging such plays in all parts of the State. Earlier VK Magotra, MD, BLSKS, welcomed the guests and apprised them about importance of holding such health awareness in coordination with stake-holders to get rid of dreaded diseases like diabetes, cancer, TB, AIDS etc. Dr Anju Kumari also spoke on the occasion about the theme of this year ‘World Diabetes Day’ viz “Eyes on Diabetes”.
The programme commenced with song ‘Bacho Bacho, Sugar Aayee”. The music of the play was composed by Raju Bajgal. The artists who participated in the play were Usha Handoo, Hemraj, MC Kotwal, Neelam Gandotra, Kamli Devi, Rajat Nakila, Rajeev Salotra, Mohd Hafiz, Kuldeep Raj, Rakshit Sharma, Dhruv Pandit, Ganshyam Yadav, Hema Dalotra, Deevam Jandiyal, Sant Das, Sunil Kumar and others. Master Deepak presented vote of thanks.
