JAMMU, Apr 1: To promote the traditional culture of J&K and celebrate the Chaitra Navratra Festival, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) staged 150th Saturday series musical play “Mayi Diyan Chunnian” at Durga Bhawan, Janipur Jammu on the theme of “National Integration and Communal Harmony”.
The musical play was written, produced and directed by M L Dogra and the music was composed by Raju Bajgal, music instructor, BLSKS. The Program was inaugurated with lighting of traditional lamp by chief guest M L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS, while VK Magotra, J K Raina, Madan Lal Kalotra and Raj Kumar Bhat were the guests of Honour.
Earlier in his welcome address of M L Dogra highlighted the story of Maa Vaishnavi Devi and said this play was also presented at Navrati Festival at Katra.
The singers, musician, actors and students of music and computer institute who performed were Usha Handoo, Rajni Gupta, KK Joshi, Renu Saproo, Sunil Kumar, Sonu Gupta, Sahil, Rajeev Salotra, Sumita Bhat, Ananya, Sawyam, Manjeet, Hem Raj, Krishna, Sant Das, Ujwal Sharma, Aryan Verma, Ajay, Surinder Verma, Imtaaz, Darshan, Bhuvan, Dhruv, Deevam Jandiyal, Abhishek and Rakshit Sharma. Deepak Kumar Dogra presented vote of thanks.
