JAMMU, May 19: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) today presented a Dogri musical play “Nashecha Bacho” at Jammu Red Cross (JRC) Home for Handicapped, Udheywala, Jammu.
At the outset, a pledge was taken by more than 200 students and teachers which was recited by MC Kotwal. The programe was inaugurated by the chief guest Satish Sharma (Secretary, JRC Home, Udheywala). Among the guests of honor were Giridhar Raina, Nirmal Vikram, Sudesh K Verma and senior members of the JRC Home.
The Day was commemorated with sole aim of rejuvenating the traditional, primitive folk, art, culture of J&K region. The specially prepared items on the theme “Chutki”, “Koi Akhe Ram Koi Alha”, “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio”, “Swatch Bharat Ho”, “Mere hikdu Galdbad”, “Kali Mata Bawe basdi- Bajan”, “Savdhan Savdhan Ae Bhaartvasi Savdhan”, ” Mere Ghar Parbhu Aye Hai”, nukkad, skits, songs and dances were presented to aware the masses.
The singers, musicians and actors who performed were Usha Raina, KK Joshi, Rajni Gupta, Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi and Vandana Gupta.
On the occasion, Secretary of the JRC Home was honored with a certificate by the Ministry of Social Justice.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks presented by Deepak Kumar Dogra, Programe Incharge.
