JAMMU, Sept 2: To promote the traditional folk culture of J&K , Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan presented its 172nd Saturday Series Musical Hindi Play “Sankalp”, here today in coordination with JK Bhoomi Human Welfare Society at Durga Bhawan, Janipur, Jammu on the theme of “Sankalp Se Siddhi’.
The event was inaugurated by M L Dogra, former Regional Director, Song and Drama Division. V K Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field & Publicity; R P Amla, former Field Publicity Assistant, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting; Dr Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Government, were the guests of honor.
The programme commenced with songs “Hum Sab Ne Shapt Uthayi Hai – Desh Humar Agge Bade”, “Hum Sub Ek Hai”, “Banjar Dharti Sona Ugle”, “Ek Humara Wahe Guru Issa Ek Humari Jaan”, ” Hum Sub Ne Yeh Thanna Hai 2022 Tak Bharat Kushal Banana Hai” .
National unity and communal harmony, Indian democracy, Health etc were the theme of the cultural programme, which was presented by renowned artists and troupe of the J&K State. The musical play was written, produced and directed by M L Dogra (chairman, BLSKS) while music was assisted by Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS. The play “Lal Dud” was also rehearsed by the society for presentation at Abhinav Theatre on 10-9-2017. The play has been directed and produced by J K Koul, Senior Director of the State.
The artists, who gave their performance during the programme, included Usha Handoo, K K Joshi, Raju Bajgal ,Hem Raj, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma, Druv Pandit, Afroz Raaz, Rajni Gupta, M C Kotwal, Vansh Raina, Surinder Verma, Aryan Verma, Himika, Mitali, Maethli, Bhoomika Chib, Ujwal, Rakshit Sharma, Darsh Kachroo, Ravi Kumar, Tilak Raj, Darshan Rajwal , J K Koul, Arvin Tickoo, Jatinder Jyotshi, Rahul Kilam, Pummy Zuthsi, Surinder Raina, Ramesh Koul, Vijay Raina, Rajesh Khar, Vijay Sumbli, Kamal Ganjoo, Vanshika, Shivali, Parul Sharma, Vishali, Rahul Raina and others . Master Deepak Kumar presented vote of thanks.
