JAMMU, Feb 22: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production and National College of Computer Education today staged its 301st Saturday series play “Nashe Kola Bacho” at Open Air Theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur.
The purpose of the play was to aware the masses about the ill effect of drugs and to promote the traditional culture of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Program was inaugurated by chief guest VK Magotra, the former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India (GoI) while Dr Anju Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital, Ramesh Hangloo, Managing Director, Radio Sharda FM 90.4, Zulekha Farid, Renowned Singer of J&K were the guest of honours.
JK Parihar, the former Manager of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of I&B, GoI presided over the function.
The Play was written, produced and directed by ML Dogra, former Assistant Director of Song and Drama Division, Ministry of I&B, GoI and the music was assisted by Raju Bajgal.
The chief guest highlighted the dangers of drug use and their illegal trade while Parihar in her address stressed for extracting the maximum attention of the masses especially addicted population who suffered from the use of tobacco and tobacco products.
Welcome speech was given by ML Dogra, the chairman of BLSKS who appealed to the audience especially children to put maximum efforts to make the J&K free from the menace of drug addiction and also recalled the significant role of NGOs for bridging the gap by creating low cost replicable models of health care.
The singers, musician, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who performed in the musical play were Kuldeep Raj, Sanjeev Sodhi, Raju Bajgal, Kanchan ,Rajni Gupta, Mahi, Renu Saproo, Vandana Gupta, Azen Ali Haidry, Mohd Afroz Raaz, Ram, Parth, Dr Naresh, Deevam Jandiyal, Sapna Devi.
